In Which the 1995 NCAA Champion UCLA Bruins Reunite..
(Ed O’Bannon, former Wooden Award-winning NCAA Champion forward for the 1995 UCLA Bruins, is now a car salesman in Las Vegas, NV. Today, he is approached by former teammate, Czech center George Zidek.)
Ed grins, his eyes widening as he recognizes his former front court mate, “George!”
George nods, “Yes, hello. I like buy car.”
“George Zidek, you don’t remember me?”
“Yes, I George Zidek. I Euroleague Champion. I buy big car. Fill with the women.”
“George, it’s me. Ed.”
“Ed, sell me big car. Money not issue,” George pulls out his wallet and reveals a large wad of odd multi-colored bills.
“Ed O’Bannon. Number 31? Leader of the ‘95 Champion Bruins?”
George nods, oblivious to the identity of the large man in the finely-tailored suit, “Yes, I college champion. I Europe champion. I always champion.”
“George, we spent four years together at UCLA.”
“Yes, the UC of the LA. The blond women with the large chests. I enjoy the college.”
Ed shakes his head and glances around the car lot, “I can’t believe you don’t remember me, man. I averaged twenty points a game, I was the ninth pick in the draft..”
George waves his hand disdainfully, “I Shaq of Czech Republic. I have no times for the remembering of every car-selling man.”
Ed gives up and begins to lead George Zidek around the lot, “What kind of automobile are you in the market for, Mr. Zidek?”
George smiles, “I want big car I can fill with the Vegas hooking-ladies.”
Ed nods, “So, a Hummer maybe?”
Just then, Ed’s brother Charles walks up in mechanic coveralls, wiping grease off his hands, “Yo Ed, Toby came up to me again today asking for a job. What should I tell him?”
Ed rolls his eyes, “Tell him to try down the street at Harrick’s bike store.”
Suddenly, Tyus Edney sprints by the men, “Hey guys!”
George Zidek holds up his hands for high-fives from the O’Bannons, “What is occurring in the Las Vegas will continue to occur in the Las Vegas and not in the surrounding regions and provinces, am I correct gentlemen?”
